Short answers about how Velvet List works. Each links to the page that covers it in full.
An independent 18+ directory where every profile is made by the creator and approved by our team. Find a creator’s platforms, offers and member reviews in one place, then visit their own pages. We are not affiliated with the platforms creators are listed on. Browse creators
Yes for visitors and members: browsing, following and reviewing cost nothing. The only paid plans are Creator Plus and Creator Pro, which are for creators.
Creators make their own profiles, or approve one our team started at their invitation. Creators prove control of a listed platform account and complete separate ID and age checks, and staff review every profile before it is published. Members cannot build profiles of other people, and nobody is listed without their consent. For creators
No. Nothing on Velvet List is scraped or copied. Each profile is written by the creator, or started by our team at their invitation and approved by them, and staff review it before it goes live. Members cannot create profiles of other people. How we review listings
Yes. Fans anywhere can browse, follow and review. Galleries need the same quick 18+ check wherever you are.
A creator is listed only after they prove control of a listed platform account and pass a UK passport or UK driving licence check, and our team reviews the profile before it is published. Our team checks public profile information and links. This is separate from a creator’s identity check.
Search by name, niche or platform, then narrow results by category, platform, country, language, rating or price band. Browse creators
Signed-in members can ask a creator to join by giving their platform and handle. We never make profiles for people. If enough members ask, our team may contact the creator and invite them to create their own, and we will let you know if they join. A request does not guarantee a profile. Ask a creator to join
You can browse and read profiles after the 18+ acknowledgement. Following creators, writing reviews and reporting images need a free account; safety reports and takedown requests do not.
Follow any creator to see them on your Following page, then organise them into up to 20 private lists. Only you can see who you follow and your lists.
The creator passed an ID check with our verification partner, and our team checked this listing’s details and links before publishing it. We never show their legal name or date of birth, and this label is not an endorsement.
Creators complete an accepted UK-issued passport or driving licence check and prove control of a listed platform account. Staff review the profile before publication. The document check does not establish citizenship or where a creator lives.
The profile’s creator proved control of that exact account with a one-time code. Other links are staff-reviewed but not code-confirmed. The code proves account control; identity is checked separately with an ID check.
An average appears after the first published review and is marked Early rating until a creator has 3 or more. Rating filters, rating order and category ranks only use creators with 3 or more published reviews.
Use Create your profile; it needs a free account, so you will be asked to sign in first, and creating and managing a useful profile is free on Creator Free. Prove you control a listed platform account with a one-use code, complete the ID check and send the profile for review. Staff review it before it is published; nothing is published automatically. Reviews usually take up to 3 working days, counted from when your one-time code appears in your platform bio. We’ll message your Velvet List inbox and email you as soon as your profile is live. Create your profile
Complete an ID and liveness check, then publish a one-use code in the public bio or a post on a platform account you list. Our team checks the code and, once approved, you can publish and manage the profile. We never need your password. How it works
If members have asked for you, our team may contact you once, manually, by platform message or a published business email. We send nothing automatically. You can sign up, ignore it, or ask not to be contacted and we will honour that. We can also send a private invite link for a draft we prepared; nothing is public until you approve it and pass the checks.
Creator Free covers your profile, a profile link for each platform and basic analytics. Creator Plus and Creator Pro are paid plans for one creator profile that add more analytics and profile tools, and Creator Pro adds promotions, promo-code batches and higher category and gallery limits. The plans page lists exactly what each includes. Compare the plans
Paid plans are priced per creator profile; the plans page shows current prices. Buy one from Plan & billing in your creator account; payment is taken securely through Stripe. Cancel any time and your plan continues to the end of the paid period.
The first 100 creators approved get 30 days of Creator Pro free, started whenever you’re ready within 6 months of approval. For creators
No. It is an acknowledgement that you are 18 or over, not a check. Age verification is a separate, optional step that unlocks gallery images.
It is optional and run by Didit, an identity-verification provider, using a selfie age estimate or an ID document. Velvet List never receives or stores your photo, ID document, document number or date of birth; we keep only the outcome, the method, the check reference and its dates. A successful check does not expire, so members and creators verify once. Privacy notice
Anyone can send a private safety report, takedown request or appeal without an account. Signed-in members can also report any image; a report that someone may be under 18 or did not consent hides the image immediately until a moderator reviews it. Report or request a takedown
Something not covered? Contact us through the safety form, or read Safety and For creators.
Gallery images may include nudity, so they stay blurred until you have verified you are 18 or over. Profile images are non-nude and are never blurred. Safety and standards
Members can write one review per creator. New and edited reviews are moderated before they are published, and nothing is published automatically. Safety and standards
Yes. Your profile is one page for your platforms, offers and reviews, so you can put the same link in every bio. It stays the same if you change your name or handles. For a tagged link on each platform, open Your links in your creator dashboard: every link opens the same profile, and the tag shows which bio brings fans. For creators
Create your profile with a UK passport or UK driving licence. You can live anywhere.
Send a takedown request through the account-free safety report form. Staff review it and record a reasoned decision, and our team aims to triage reports within one working day. Send a takedown request
Promoted marks a paid placement in its own labelled slot, such as the homepage spotlight. Boosted marks a paid Category Boost at the top of a category. Paid placement never changes ratings or reviews, and Promoted slots never change the order of Browse Creators results.
A paid plan badge shows the plan subscribed to or granted for this profile. It is not verification or endorsement, and it does not affect ratings, reviews or organic search position.
Both are off by default and separate opt-ins. Offers are promo codes from creators you follow; alerts are inbox messages we write when a creator you follow lowers a price, adds a free trial or offer, or publishes new gallery photos. You can turn either off at any time.
We count visits, searches and clicks as aggregated daily totals without cookies or identifiers. The optional analytics cookie only lets us count unique and returning visitors; withdrawing it erases the detailed events for that browser. Analytics is never linked to your account. Cookie notice
We store the platform, handle, optional link, your account and the dates, to gauge demand, contact the creator and tell you if they join. A suggestion is deleted after 12 months unless the creator joins, and when you delete your account. It is included in your data export. If a creator asks not to be contacted, we keep only a hashed platform and handle to block further suggestions. Privacy notice
Yes. You can view an export of your account data and request deletion from your account. Deletion removes your follows, creator suggestions and account-linked analytics, and limited moderation records may remain for audit purposes. Privacy notice
